Born in Walnut Creek, California, I have lived near Sacramento, in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Toronto, Rome, and now in Fort Worth, Texas. My first published work appeared
in U.S. News and World Report in 1987. Since that time my essays and features
have been in newspapers and magazines all over the country. I am a member of the DFW Writer's Workshop and of QuikFik, a private writer's workshop. My favorite aphorism is "if you love life, then don't waste time, that's what life is made of," and my favorite thing to do is to get up at the crack of dawn and write longhand with a fountain pen.
